Quick Overview

Two Red Cross armbands, early type trim-fold ID card and photo negative that belonged to Private Stanley J. Moroses, ASN 32146838, who enlisted on May 2, 1941. Moroses served with the Medical Department. The ID card is great because it has a photo of Moroses and is not stamped 'inactive'. Both armbands have the red cross attached with the correct zig-zag stitching and the Geneva convention stamp on the back. They are also both named to Moroses and have his Medical Registration card number. One armband also has the Identity card number on the back. The photo negative is interesting as it shows Moroses wearing his M-43 jacket with a folded Red Cross armband pinned to his left sleeve. Careful scrutiny shows this is actually one of the two armbands. This particular armband still shows two pin holes just above the cross! ID-ed medic items have become exceedingly hard to find, especially with photographic material and research potential. This is a superb group that has been in my collection for a long time but it is time for a new home.
