Quick Overview

Schlueter 'fixed bail' steel shell with Seaman liner. The helmet is 100% original, nothing added, nothing replaced. It belonged to PFC Harry H. Morman, ASN 35833066, who enlisted on April 17, 1944. Harmon scratched HM 3066 in the steel shell and wrote his name on the headband. The steel shell has a painted PFC chevron on the front and the top is blackened, probably from being used on a fire. The inside has a soapy residue, most likely from washing and shaving. Nice and honest ID-ed helmet that saw plenty of use and has research potential. This is a helmet from the M-1helmet.com collection.
