104th Division liner, 2nd Lieutenant Engineer & ID-ed

104th Division liner, 2nd Lieutenant Engineer & ID-ed

Quick Overview

Firestone liner (type 8, made on an Inland mold) which is 100% original, nothing added, nothing replaced. It has textured exterior paint, cotton suspension and green coated steel A washers. The leather chinstrap has the green coated roler buckle. The liner has a 2nd Lieutenant bar painted on the front and ETO bar on the back. On the right side it has a paper 104th Division decal and on the left side a painted Engineers castle. Paper decals were common with the 104th Division (view the 104th liner in my book page 305 of the 2007 Limited Edition and page 321 of the 2010 Schiffer Edition). The liner came from the family and belonged to 2nd Lt . Charles M. Schneider, ASN O-1117949. The name and ASN seem to be written on a V loop of the suspension but it is quite faint. View the many photos.
This is a liner from the M-1helmet.com collection.
