Wool knitted sweater with turtle neck. Was most likely a Red Cross issue garment but the label was cut out. The sweater has a nice early olive shade color. Size seems to be large. Turtle neck sweaters were very populair among GI's during the cold winter of 1944/45 (see photo of Lt Karl Timmerman, famous of the Remagen bridge). These sweaters are hard to find today. See also last photo from a home knitting brochure. Very good condition.
